while "Chatting" on Facebook with friends.
Claire Lin (Taiwanese woman aged 31 Years Old) committed suicide on March 18 2012, on his 31st birthday and according to her family members, they were not aware that she is dead while talking on Facebook, said police officer of Taipei.
Claire was talking with nine friends on facebook, who warned about its gradual suffocation. A photo uploaded to the website from their mobile phone displays a charcoal grill on. In Second photo her friend can see the clearly smoke-filled room.
Her friend said "Be calm, open the window, turn off coal, please, I beg you."
She said: "The smoke suffocates me. It makes me mourn. I stop writing."
By the conversion it seems her friends knows her situation, but no one called police.
The last sentence which she said are: "It's too late. My room is full of smoke. I just uploaded another picture. Although I am dying still want FB. FB must be poison. Ha ha".
Lin's profile on Facebook indicates that she was sad because her boyfriend did not returned home to be with her on her birthday. Her boyfriend found her body the next morning and told the family, said police officer.
Her boyfriend (Hsieh) said he regretted that none of his friends called police for help during the 67 minutes it lasted the virtual conversation, but said it might have been difficult for them to discover the whereabouts of the woman because of the nature of Social-networks on Internet .
It would be difficult to find a friend on Facebook without their direction or without your phone.
There was remark made by a sociologist said that this case reflected the social isolation in the era of the internet.
